TYPE OF WORK
Staff & plasterwork
Our company carried out works at the Pavillon des Deux Îles of the Château de Dampierre, located in the Yvelines, a building listed as a Historic Monument. The plasterwork was executed in strict accordance with the traditional craftsmanship of the period.
Inside, we created a cornice run in situ, a sprayed plaster ceiling entirely finished by hand, as well as a finely ornamented ceiling rose. The walls were finished with hand-shaped plaster coatings, featuring softly rounded angles.
Outside, a large-scale cornice was run in situ over a rough base of brick, plaster and lime. The intervention was completed by the installation of two pediments moulded in our workshop and the harmonious integration of modillions distributed along the entire cornice, faithfully restoring the pavilion’s original architectural elegance.
